Silk quilt companies in Zhejiang Province have reached a consensus on establishing a silk quilt price index
Recently, the Zhejiang Silk Quilt Enterprise Exchange Conference was held in Zhouquan Town, Tongxiang City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province.
At the meeting, Wu Jingen, President of the Zhejiang Silk Association, made a systematic analysis of the development situation of the cocoon and silk industry and subsequent market development trends based on the current domestic and international economic situation. He expressed his views on how to achieve highquality development in the silk quilt industry. Wu Jingen said that the industry needs to develop in a healthy and orderly manner based on inheritance and in accordance with the new development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing. Representatives attending the meeting discussed “the status of enterprise silk quilt production and sales”, “enterprises’ thoughts on new product development under the background of the country’s advocacy of dual circulation and promotion of high-quality development”, “current “What are the predictions for the subsequent market when cocoon silk raw materials rebound sharply?” and other topics were discussed. Relevant persons in charge of Kaixiya, Tengfei Home Textiles, Tianzhongshan, Silkworm Flower Empress and other companies all conducted exchanges and sharings.
The meeting also invited relevant persons in charge of the Zhejiang Light Industry Quality Inspection Institute and the National Silk Standards Committee to communicate with enterprises on topics such as silk quilt quality control, market supervision, and standard implementation. Through exchanges, the meeting reached a preliminary consensus on promoting the establishment of a silk quilt quality traceability mechanism and the establishment of a silk quilt price index.
