A salesperson from an old printing and dyeing factory told the editor: “I have been busy these past two days, and I have been rushing to catch up with the goods, but the steam will be shut down soon. Our factory will be closed on January 6th. We can’t finish the work before the holidays. We can only wait until after the new year. We have no choice.”
Currently, some printing and dyeing factories in Shengze still have a 50% production limit on the setting machine. The production rotation of some printing and dyeing factories will have a great impact on the cloth bosses’ rush for goods. Fortunately, production restrictions and production rotations are coming to an end, and shipments will accelerate if production capacity is not limited. With the recent increase in orders and shipments being blocked, the overall printing and dyeing delivery time in Shengze area is between 10-15 days, 3-5 days longer than the previous period.
Before this, some printing and dyeing factories had already issued news about stopping warehousing and taking holidays. Although there are currently some printing and dyeing factories in Shengze that have not issued holiday notices, the shutdown of steam means that production is impossible. From this, it can be inferred that some printing and dyeing factories will not produce until the 7th at the latest, but it cannot be ruled out that some printing and dyeing factories have their own steam supply. The factory will continue production until the end of the year. However, according to reports from dyeing factory salesmen, some employees have begun to return to their hometowns, especially those in remote areas, and will take leave early. Therefore, as the number of workers decreases, the dyeing progress will be delayed. Therefore, even if the thermal power plant does not stop steaming and the printing and dyeing factory does not take holidays, workers will take leave in advance and go home, which will still have a certain impact on fabric dyeing.
