2. Sizing machine drying methods and principles
(1) Convection heating method: used in hot air sizing machines, by blowing heated air to the sizing surface at a certain speed to transfer heat to the wet slurry yarn.
Advantages: ① The effect is uniform and gentle, and the sizing yarn has a full feeling; ② Adjacent sizing yarns have less adhesion to each other and good film-forming properties; ③ The yarn separating rod separates yarn easily, and there is less sizing and fluffing.
Disadvantages: ① Low drying efficiency and high steam consumption; ② Long threading length in the drying room, prone to accidental elongation; ③ Difficulty in breaking ends, complex drying room structure.
(2) Heat conduction method: Drying cylinder sizing machine.
Advantages: ① The yarn is in direct contact with the surface of the high-temperature drying cylinder, with large drying capacity and high efficiency.
