Why should C6 waterproofing agent be used instead of C8 waterproofing agent? Compared with C8 waterproofing agent, C6 waterproofing agent does not contain PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid and salts) and PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonate), which may be potentially harmful to the human body. It has the common characteristics of persistent organic pollutants and is considered to be a new type of persistent environmental pollutant that is the focus of research in the 21st century. The main component of C6 waterproofing agent is PFHS (perfluorohexane sulfonyl compound or sulfonate), which is an ideal product to replace C8 waterproofing agent containing PFOA and PFOS.

However, judging from the products currently used on the market, the waterproofing effect of C6 waterproofing agent is far less than that of C8 waterproofing agent.
