Recently, the Fiber Inspection Bureau of the Autonomous Region conducted a data analysis on the quality inspection reports of cashmere sweaters and cashmere sweaters inspected since last year and found that there are serious quality problems in wool sweaters and cashmere sweaters. Among them, the safety indicators exceed the standards and the fiber content does not meet the standards. National standards require that consumers are deceived and defrauded, and the situation is worrying.
Since March last year, the Fiber Inspection Bureau of the Autonomous Region has inspected more than 100 batches of woolen sweaters and cashmere sweaters entrusted by customers and randomly inspected. This year, the Inspection Bureau has focused on inspecting locally produced woolen sweaters and cashmere sweaters and those sold in major supermarkets. The products inspected were basically unqualified.
According to reports, unqualified products are mainly manifested in two aspects: First, safety indicators. If the formaldehyde content, PH value, and color fastness exceed standards, it will directly endanger human health after wearing it. For example, the “Zhenbei” brand V-neck blouse sold in a large shopping mall in Urumqi seriously exceeded the standard for formaldehyde, affecting the health of consumers; secondly, the fiber content and labeling did not meet the national standards. Among the samples of small and medium-sized enterprises recently counted, none of the fiber content and labeling items were qualified, that is, the pass rate was 0. It cannot be ruled out that some companies, in pursuit of maximizing profits, engage in fraudulent behavior by passing off fake products as genuine products or substandard products.
According to Wei Jun, chief engineer of the Autonomous Region Fiber Inspection Bureau, during the inspection, many cashmere sweaters and woolen sweaters were not labeled with raw material content, and some were labeled with fiber content that was not up to standard, which directly affected consumers’ right to know. Money does not buy real goods; some cashmere sweaters with high chemical fiber content have poor breathability and sweat permeability. They will feel uncomfortable when worn close to the body, and sweat cannot be discharged in time, which may even cause skin diseases.
