Two days ago, a textile boss told the editor: “There is a customer in Indonesia who bought our company’s stretch satin chiffon inventory in the early stage. We’ve taken all of it, now it’s time to reorder!”
Orders were placed one after another…
“Before, our stock of stretch satin chiffon was about 70,000 to 80,000 meters. In September, a customer in Indonesia took away all our inventory, and now there is an order for 200,000 meters, requiring delivery within a month, and the customer said there will be repeat orders in the future.” Sheng A textile boss in Ze area who specializes in imitation silk said in detail.
It is understood that stretch satin chiffon is mainly used in women’s clothing, mostly shirts and pajamas. Such clothing is generally suitable for use in spring and summer. Now it is approaching the end of the year. The dominance of autumn and winter fabrics has slowly begun to recede, and preparations for spring and summer fabrics have begun quietly. Not long ago, some textile bosses mentioned that spring and summer fabrics have begun to be sampled more recently.
In fact, since the signing of RCEP, many textile and spinning bosses have indeed increased their confidence in textile exports, but this order has nothing to do with RCEP. In the early stage, it can also be seen from the foreign trade orders for 1.5 million meters of recycled spring and summer fabrics. Now the main thing is to appeal to everyone that the demand is still there and not to lose confidence in foreign trade.
In addition, I learned from the textile boss that what puzzles the editor is that the customer requires delivery within 30 days. According to common sense, the spring and summer fabric orders placed now should not be delivered. I’m in a hurry, why do you ask for delivery within a month?
This is the reason for ramping up production!
“In order not to waste the foreign trade quota, we have to ship it even if the goods are not enough when the time comes. Now we can only increase the production capacity and strive to knit this order within a month. Delivery,” said the textile boss.
What are foreign trade quotas? The editor specifically went to find out about this. The so-called foreign trade quota is a quota required by importers to import foreign goods or exporters to export domestic goods.
Generally speaking, this kind of foreign trade quota will have a time limit (usually (one year), the reason why this order is so urgent is that the Indonesian customer’s foreign trade quota is about to expire, and higher tariffs will be levied after expiration, so this order must be completed within 30 days.
You must know that stretch satin chiffon contains spandex, and fabrics containing spandex generally cannot be stored for a long time, so the inventory of manufacturers of such products is also very small. Generally speaking, Only when the customer places an order will it be woven. Under normal circumstances, 200,000 meters of gray fabric takes 45 days to complete. The completion of this 200,000-meter order within 30 days means that the factory needs to produce approximately 7,000 meters of fabric every day. It can be said that the workload is huge!
However, the short delivery time did not bother the textile boss. After all, it is a joy to receive an order now, and although the price of this order is not very high, it is It is not as close to losing money as it was some time ago. There is still a small profit after excluding labor fees. The most important thing is that the possibility of repeating the order in the future is very high, which greatly increases the confidence of the textile boss in the later market!
In short, many textile bosses are still optimistic about the current foreign trade market, and the signing of RCEP is a good example for the future. China’s textile market has laid a solid foundation. At present, Double Twelve has not brought many orders to textile bosses, but there is no need to be too discouraged. The signing of RCEP and the development of vaccines will bring certain benefits to the textile market. In addition to the good news, textile bosses also need to be wary of other old problems such as overcapacity. Inventory backlog accounts for a large part of the troubles brought to everyone in 2020, so these problems still need to be guarded against!
