The main drive of the rapier loom – the use of the main drive of the loom
Generally, the main drive of rapier loom adopts indirect transmission system. Belt transmission is adopted from the main motor to the electromagnetic clutch. Before starting the loom, ensure the steering of the motor, the tightness of the belt, and the correct clearance of the clutch. The belt of the motor should not be installed too tight to avoid overloading the motor bearings, but it should not be too loose to avoid slipping. The correct measurement method is: apply 3kg of pressure between the two belt pulleys of each belt, so that there is a 7mm deflection at the pressure point of the belt. The tightness of the belt can be adjusted through the two long holes on the motor base. When the start button is pressed, the electromagnetic clutch starting coil is energized to complete the pull-in action. When the loom stops under any circumstances, the starting coil is powered off, the magnetic attraction disappears, and the clutch is disengaged. At the same time, the electromagnetic clutch brake coil is energized by the braking signal and attracts the brake armature, causing the loom to quickly stop rotating. Properly adjusting the proximity switch of the loom position signal can make the loom stop at the appropriate position. The weft stop of the loom usually stops at around 315°, and the warp stop usually stops at around 320°. The gap control of the electromagnetic clutch is very important. This will prevent the loom from failing to start and brake properly, causing defects in the fabric. The gap should be checked every three months, and the size should be within the range of 0.4 to 0.17mm.
