However, the cost of gun jackets is very high, about more than one thousand yuan per set. The cost of replacing a set of gun jackets makes the already insufficient maintenance funds even worse.
Faced with this dilemma, colleagues in the maintenance department of the Shanghai factory actively considered countermeasures. As the saying goes, “If you do it yourself, you will have enough food and clothing.” You can sew a gun jacket yourself. This confidence comes from the hard-working spirit of the backbone of the Shanghai factory, which is reflected in previous work such as “smoking point renovation” and the paving of “Tongxin Road, Smart Road”.
This independent sewing of gun jackets was led by Shen Dianyong from the maintenance department of the Shanghai factory, and was completed together with the backbone of the factory.
The first is the preparation of tools, one is the sewing machine, and the other is the gun jacket material. After many comparisons, we selected a very cost-effective sewing machine and silicone fire-retardant cloth, which cost 300 yuan per machine and 30 yuan per square meter respectively, which controlled the cost of tool materials to a great extent.
The second step is to draw the gun jacket drawing. Shen Gong carefully observed the components of the original gun jacket and accurately measured each size, and finally drew the gun jacket drawing on paper.
The third step is to cut according to the size of the drawing and use a sewing machine to sew. This link is the most important and the most difficult link in sewing gun jackets. Everyone is still relatively new to this field of sewing. However, after unremitting efforts, the backbone of the factory worked together and successfully completed the independent sewing of the welding gun jacket.
