Choosing an anti-UV umbrella mainly depends on the fabric of the umbrella. Studies have shown that thick umbrella fabrics have better UV resistance than thin ones. Among untreated fibers, polyester fiber has the best UV resistance, which is related to the benzene ring in its molecular structure that absorbs UV rays. The UV resistance of polyamide (nylon) and viscose (rayon, rayon) among chemical fibers, as well as cotton and silk among natural fibers, are not ideal. When choosing an anti-UV umbrella, try to choose thicker fabrics containing polyester fiber. Fabrics coated with silver glue are better and have better UV protection effect.
