Each process has energy consumption constraints, and the new standard for Shanghai’s printing and dyeing industry will become a national standard

Reporters recently learned from the Shanghai Textile Energy Saving Center that relevant departments in Shanghai are currently formulating new standards for energy consumption in the printing and dyeing industry. It is expected that the new standards will be released within the year and become national industry standards. The new standard provides different energy consumption indicators for different products and processes. Experts pointed out that this will accelerate the industrial structure adjustment of the printing and dyeing industry.

The old national energy consumption standards for the printing and dyeing industry have been in effect for 17 years. The old standards stipulated “one size fits all” for the energy consumption of all production lines in printing and dyeing factories. Due to insufficient hard constraints on energy consumption, small and medium-sized printing and dyeing factories have launched a large number of low-end production lines, resulting in printing and dyeing The industry’s oversupply and disorderly competition have also resulted in serious waste of resources and environmental pollution.

It is understood that the new standard mainly provides a “comparable” process as a standard for the printing and dyeing industry. It is initially determined to be a cotton dyeing process containing 12 processes, and the energy consumption quota of each process is listed in detail. Other processes use this as a reference to increase or decrease the energy consumption amount according to the process. This energy consumption calculation method that provides “comparability” is the first of its kind in the world.

Shanghai Hualun Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. participated in the “enterprise feedback” process for the formulation of new standards. Wu Xiangshan, head of Hualun Company, said that the company has a relatively large proportion of high-end products, but it will take half a year to a year to meet the new standards.
