How to accurately measure the performance of anti-static fabrics

Due to the weaving process of anti-static fabrics, they are generally made of general fiber blended chemical fiber fabrics with conductive fibers interlaced as warp and weft yarns, or conductive filaments embedded in the warp and weft yarns. If you choose different warp and weft yarns for antistatic fabrics, the antistatic properties in the warp and weft directions will be inconsistent. In the new standard GB12014-2009 point-to-point resistance test method, there is no unified regulation on how to select test points. The same piece of anti-static cloth is cleaned and humidified, and five sets of test points are selected at different locations. The geometric mean of the five measurement values is the final result. However, due to the random selection of different test points, the point-to-point resistance test results are very different, and the reproducibility of the test results is poor and incomparable. Therefore, in the test method, if relevant provisions can be made for test points according to the specific conditions of different antistatic fabrics, the results will be more scientific and provide valuable reference data for enterprises to improve product quality.
