Correspondent of China Cotton Network: According to the investigation, withCF1709The contract price fell below15500yuan/tons, hedging traders and cotton companies lowered it again2016/17Annual Xinjiang cotton quotation. 3Month21-22On Japan, a cotton company stored “double28” (Horse value isC2) The official quotation of hand-picked cotton has been reduced to15450-15500yuan/tons, for single purchase3customers can negotiate a discount50-100yuan/t. Since early March, Xinjiang cotton quotation adjustments have generally reached 300-400 yuan/ton. Some textile companies in Henan, Hebei and other places said that compared with the decline in the Zheng cotton CF1705 contract and the market price, the decline in Xinjiang cotton spot prices lags behind. Regardless of receiving warehouse receipts below 15,000 yuan/ton or bidding for reserve cotton, the actual cost is higher. It is more than 400 yuan/ton lower than the spot price. Most traders and cotton companies require settlement according to the original order (gross weight quotation). Considering that it has been nearly half a year from October to December to late March, the price/performance ratio may not be very high.
Since March 20, Urumqi, Shihezi and other places in northern Xinjiang have experienced cooling and snowfall. Some cotton traders reported that cotton exports and road transportation were affected, but it had little impact on cotton prices and cotton market supply and demand. . Sowing has begun in some regiment fields of Kashgar, Bachu, Aksu, Korla and other places in southern Xinjiang. It is estimated that cotton planting will peak before the end of March to late April. Local areas are generally 3-5 days later than the Corps, and most cotton areas in Kashgar are sown 3-4 days and 5-10 days earlier than Aksu and Korla respectively.
Judging from the survey, since the income from growing long-staple cotton in 2016 was significantly lower than that of fine-staple cotton, and long-staple cotton ginneries generally suffered losses, Awati, Kuqa, The planting area of long-staple cotton in Shaya, Xinhe and other places will decrease significantly, and the enthusiasm for switching to fine-staple cotton is rising. In addition, due to the low prices of corn, wheat and other grain crops in 2016, farmers have low income or even losses, so most of them plan to switch to cotton this year. Some cotton companies in southern Xinjiang believe that the planting area of fine lint cotton in Xinjiang may increase by 8%-10% year-on-year in 2017, or even higher.
