1. What is conductive spinning yarn.

Conductive spinning yarn is a functional fiber with conductive properties made from conductive fibers and conventional fabric fibers through blended chemical fiber fabrics, cross-combination, cross-twisting, networking and other technical means.

2. The purpose of choosing conductive spinning yarn.

The purpose of selecting conductive yarn is to use its conductive function to produce functional fabrics with antistatic, electromagnetic shielding, and artificial intelligence properties. In other words, the conductive function is primary, followed by mechanical properties, third is finishing properties, and fourth is aesthetic properties. If the primary function cannot be guaranteed, no matter how good the other properties are, there will be no point in choosing conductive yarn.

3. Type of conductive yarn.

According to the different materials of conductive fibers, they can be roughly divided into:

①Metal fiber conductive spinning yarn

Metal filament type bonded conductive spun yarn (the fiber of the carrier spun yarn varies according to the use and customer needs)

Metal short fiber type blended chemical fiber fabric type conductive spinning yarn (the proportion of metal short fiber is different depending on the use, and the conventional fiber types of the blended chemical fiber fabric are also different according to customer needs)

②Organically bonded carbon black conductive spinning yarn

It is divided into two categories: nylon-based and polyester-based. The organic laminated carbon black conductive yarn is laminated to the conductive spinning yarn, and the carrier yarn components used for laminating the conductive yarn are T, C, T/ C, T filament, etc.

③Metal-plated conductive fiber yarn

4 Dyeability of conductive spun yarn.

According to the different materials of conductive fibers, conductive spinning yarns can be divided into two categories: dyeable and non-dyeable

①Conductive fiber that cannot be colored

Metal (including metal plating), organic carbon black, polymer intrinsically conductive fiber

② Colorable conductive fiber

Organic laminated metal compound conductive fiber (i.e. white conductive fiber). Due to different base materials used, coloring performance may vary.

Polyester-based organic laminated metal compound conductive fiber has the same coloring performance as polyester fiber. Polyester is acid-resistant and alkali-resistant, and has good heat resistance and thermal stability. Polyester macromolecules are rigid linear molecules with high crystallinity, small intermolecular gaps, poor hygroscopicity of the fiber, and very small swelling degree in water. The chemical structure of the fiber lacks polar groups, so polyester is commonly used as disperse dyes. Coloring is done under high temperature and high pressure around 130℃.

The coloring performance of nylon-based organic laminated metal compound conductive spun yarn is the same as that of nylon fiber. Nylon is alkali-resistant but not acid-resistant, and its heat resistance and thermal stability are not as good as polyester.�It has better colorability than polyester and can be colored with acid dyes, disperse dyes and other dyes.

In acidic media, nylon macromolecules are positively charged and anionic dyes can be used;

In alkaline media, nylon macromolecules are anionic and can be used with cationic dyes.

Strong oxidants can destroy the molecular structure of nylon fiber, such as bleaching powder, sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, etc., which can cause the breakage of nylon molecular chains and reduce the strength of the fiber. Moreover, nylon after bleaching with these oxidants It is easy to turn yellow, so when nylon needs to be bleached, sodium chlorite (Naclo2) or reducing bleach is generally used.

5 Principles for Selection of Conductive Spinning Yarns.

① When the conductive spun yarn is arranged on the front of the fabric, it is advisable to use the same count or slightly thicker conductive spun yarn as the basic yarn; when it is arranged on the reverse side of the fabric, a thinner conductive spun yarn can be used Yarn to take advantage of the cover of the conductive spun yarn by the front tissue.

②The conductive yarn raw material (referring to the carrier yarn raw material) should be the same or similar to the basic yarn.

③ For electromagnetic shielding fabrics, it is advisable to use a higher proportion of metal fiber blended chemical fiber yarn.

④Intelligent conductive fabrics should use metal filament-fitting conductive spun yarn.

⑤ For industrial safety protective fabrics, metal blended chemical fiber fabrics and organically bonded carbon black conductive yarns should be used.

⑥For dyeing light-colored, variegated, and bleached fabrics, it is advisable to use organically bonded metal compound conductive yarns that can be dyed.

⑦ For clean clothing fabrics, filament-fitting conductive spun yarns should be used.
