Evaluation of stain removal performance of polyester-cotton fabrics
Evaluation of stain removal performance of polyester-cotton fabrics – Fabric Industry Standard of the People’s Republic of China
Foreword
Easy-to-remove polyester-cotton fabrics are mass-produced by domestic manufacturers and used to make labor protection work clothes in oil fields and other industries. However, there are no unified inspection methods and product quality grading standards. In order to protect the interests of consumers and regulate the market, the China Fabrics Federation has issued the task of formulating the industry standard “Evaluation of Contamination Removal Performance of Polyester and Cotton Fabrics” with the Textile Standard (1997) 014. The test method refers to the American AATCC 130-1995 (easy decontamination test: dirty oil removal method, pressure weight and oil dripping amount); the cleaning equipment and cleaning methods adopt GB/T 12490-90; the rating adopts the national standard GB250-1995 (evaluation of discoloration) Use gray sample card) to facilitate the implementation of the standard.
This standard will be implemented from October 1, 1998.
This standard is proposed by the Science and Technology Development Department of China Textile Federation.
This standard is endorsed by the National Fabric Standardization Technical Committee. Fabric Industry Standards of the People’s Republic of China
Evaluation of stain removal performance of polyester-cotton fabrics
FZ/T10012-1998
1 Scope of application
This standard specifies the evaluation, grading regulations and test methods for the easy stain removal performance of polyester and cotton fabrics after easy stain removal and finishing. and packaging logo.
This standard is suitable for evaluating the easy stain removal performance of polyester and cotton fabrics after easy stain removal and finishing. Other fabrics that can be easily decontaminated and finished can also be adopted as a reference.
2 Quotation standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision and parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using new versions of the standards listed below.
GB 250—1995 Gray sample card for evaluating discoloration
GB/T 12490-90 Test method for dyeing fastness of fabrics to household and commercial cleaning
3 Definition
This standard adopts the following definitions.
Easy to remove dirt
method to clean it.
4 Grading regulations
The easy stain removal performance of polyester-cotton fabrics is divided into high-quality products, first-class products and qualified products (see Table 1 for details).
5 Test method
5. 1 Plan before the easy decontamination test
5. 1.1 Standard waste oil plan
5. 1. 1.1 Take 100g of 14# engine oil, add 0.1 g of carbon black (carbon black particle size is less than 40/μm), stir for 6 minutes with a high-speed mixer (6 000 ~ 7 000 r/min), and then pour it into a reagent bottle for later use.
5. 1. 1. 2 Food vegetable oil (suitable for bleached fabrics in restaurants, hotels, and hospitals).
5. 1. 2 Easily stain-removable fabric sample plan
Cut from the entire piece of fabric that is easy to decontaminate and finish, at least two meters away from the end of the fabric, and without appearance defects. Take 6 pieces of 150mmXl50mm specimens for later use.
5. 1. 3 Cut colorless and transparent polyethylene film (thickness is 0.03~0.05mm, size is 70mmX 70mm ) 6 pieces for spare.
5. 1. 4 Cut 6 pieces of qualitative filter paper (70mmX70mm) for later use.
5. 1 .5 Test steps for oil stains
Place 6 pieces of prepared filter paper on the test bench, and then place the uncleaned filter paper prepared according to 5.1.2 3 pieces of samples and 3 pieces of samples washed 15 times according to the cleaning procedure in 7.1 are placed on the filter paper respectively; then useTake the dirty oil up to the mark with a 0.2 mL pipette, and slowly drop all the dirty oil at the center of the sample (the mouth of the pipe is 10-15mm away from the cloth surface). Cover the sample with dirty oil dripping with the polyethylene film prepared according to 5.1.3, place a weight with a diameter of 64mm and a mass of 2.25kg at the contact point between the film and the dirty oil, and press it for 1 minute. Remove the weight and remove the film. The sample shall be left at room temperature for (20 ± 3) minutes and then cleaned of oil stains.
Note: If the sample is colored fabric, use the dirty oil specified in 5.1.1.1; if the sample is bleached fabric, use the edible oil specified in 5.1.1.2.
6 Cleaning equipment and reagents
6. 1 Cleaning equipment, see 4.1 and Appendix A in GB/T 12490-90.
6. 2 Cleaning reagents are specified in GB/T 12490.
7 Cleaning method
7. 1Cleaning before oil stains
Take 6 samples prepared according to the requirements of 5.1.2, according to Table 6.1 in GB/T 12490-90 2 AIM program, temperature 40°C, liquor ratio 1:30, cleaning agent specified in 6.2, concentration 2g/L, cleaning for 135 minutes (15 cleanings are deemed completed). Take out the sample, rinse it with flowing room temperature water for 10 minutes, squeeze out the water by hand, and dry it in a 60°C oven for later use.
7. 2Cleaning after oil stains
Add 2g/L of synthetic cleaning agent that meets the requirements of 6.2, the liquor ratio is 1:30 (W fabric/W lotion), and the water capacity must not be less than 26L. If the quality is insufficient, use the same fabric as the sample to make up for it. When the water temperature rises to 40°C ± 3°C, turn the washing machine to the standard setting, keep warm and wash for 12 minutes, rinse twice with room temperature water, 2 minutes each time, dehydrate for 2 minutes, and then dry in a 60°C oven for grading.
8 Sample rating
Use the gray sample card to evaluate discoloration using GB 250, and evaluate the easy decontamination level of samples that have not been cleaned and have been cleaned 15 times according to the cleaning procedure in 7.1. Each test is based on the severe staining (note: when rating, the stained sample is based on oil stains. On the same cloth after cleaning, the areas that are not stained with oil will remain as they are; stained areas with a diameter exceeding 40mm will not be rated according to the gray sample card and will be rated as level 1).
9 Packaging and Logo
The outer packaging of products that are easy to decontaminate must have the words “easy to decontaminate”
