Shishi printing and dyeing industry: from the “coal-burning era” to the “clean era”
Coal is burning everywhere, chimneys stand in the forest, and black smoke is scattered. In the past, such scenes were not uncommon in Shishi City, a city that is famous for fabrics and workwear. . Today, reporters visited many fabric bases in Shishi City and found that such scenes have long disappeared.
Local printing and dyeing companies bid farewell to Black Smoke, which is related to the transformation of Shishi Qingyuan Company, the leading local dyeing and finishing company. Qingyuan Company teamed up with Fuzhou University and China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. to form a research and development team and invested 300 million yuan to successfully develop coal-water slurry energy-saving technology. Through physical sorting, a low-pollution, high-efficiency, pipeline-transportable coal can be obtained Base fluid fuel. This technology fills the gap in this field of fabric workwear industry in our province. In 2013, after Qingyuan Company’s 500,000-ton coal-water slurry project was put into operation, Shishi dyeing and finishing companies began to adopt coal-water slurry products, bidding farewell to the era of coal burning.
As the origin and headquarters of Fujian style fabric workwear, Shishi City currently has 123 dyeing and finishing companies with an annual output value of more than 5 billion yuan.
In recent years, the printing and dyeing industry in Shishi City has frequently encountered environmental pressure, and it is difficult to continue the past pollution-based development model. Wang Qingyuan, chairman of Qingyuan Company, saw the business opportunities. As a result, Qingyuan Company began to transform into the field of coal-water slurry production, replacing traditional high-pressure water vapor with coal-water slurry.
In the production workshop of Huaxin Knitted Fabric Printing and Dyeing Company, a leading dyeing and finishing enterprise, the chimney above the factory no longer emits smoke, and the steam pipe connected by Qingyuan Company has begun to supply water vapor to the workshop. The person in charge of the company said that this centralized heating method is particularly economical and can save the company more than 1.5 million yuan in energy consumption every year.
“From the traditional printing and dyeing business to the coal-water slurry production field, the company’s transformation effect is very good. What’s even more gratifying is that due to this project, Shishi City’s printing and dyeing industry has changed from coal-burning to coal-water slurry production. The era has entered a clean era.” Wang Qingyuan said.
