The 2nd National Secondary Vocational School Students’ Fashion Design and Craftsmanship Skills Competition concluded at Nantong Vocational School
On the morning of April 9, the second “Freshman Cup” National Secondary Vocational School Students’ Clothing Design and Craft Skills Competition came to an end at Nantong Technical Secondary School. This competition is sponsored by the China Textile and Clothing Education Society and the Textile Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center, and is hosted by Nantong Technical Secondary School. 116 secondary vocational school students from 37 teams across the country participated in the competition.
It is understood that the competition is divided into two sub-categories: clothing design and clothing technology. It aims to test and demonstrate the teaching reform results of clothing majors in secondary vocational schools and the general technical and professional abilities of students in clothing design and technology positions, and to lead and promote secondary vocational schools. The construction and curriculum reform of clothing majors in vocational schools should stimulate and mobilize the initiative and enthusiasm of industry enterprises to pay attention to and participate in the teaching reform of clothing majors, promote the “craftsman spirit”, cultivate students’ professional qualities of excellence, and enhance the clothing majors in secondary vocational schoolsTalenttraining level.
After fierce competition, 6 teams including Qingdao Chengyang District Vocational Education Center School won the first prize in the clothing design sub-competition, and 6 teams including Yantai Economic School won the first prize in the clothing technology sub-competition. The contestant who won the first place in the sub-competition will be awarded the title of “National Vocational Skills Model for Textile and Clothing Major Students” by the China Textile and Clothing Education Society and the Textile Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal Center. Contestants ranked second to sixth in the sub-category will be promoted to the senior professional skill level of “Garment Pattern Maker” according to regulations. Contestants from Nantong Technical Secondary School won 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 1 third prize.
At the closing ceremony, Li Mingsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nantong Technical Secondary School, reported on the preparations for the competition. He pointed out that hosting the competition is an affirmation and encouragement for the school’s work.
