In order to further improve the technical level of sericulture production management in Haining City, Zhejiang Province, provide technical guidance for spring silkworm production, and ensure the safety of spring silkworm production in Haining City, on the afternoon of April 6, Haining City The Agricultural Society held a spring sericulture technology training class at the Sericulture Culture Research Camp in Yunlong Village, Zhouwangmiao. A total of more than 100 people, including members of the Municipal Agricultural Society, sericulture production technical instructors at the town and village levels, and major sericulture farmers, participated in the training. This training invited researcher Wang Yongqiang, chairman of the Zhejiang Sericulture Society, director of the Silkworm Tea Research Institute of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and a post-scientist, to give lectures.
In the training class, Wang Yongqiang focused on teaching content related to “New Silkworm Breeds and Breeding Technology”. Specifically, from the basic situation of the breeding of new sericulture varieties in Zhejiang Province during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the breeding and application of new silkworm varieties (male silkworm varieties, single-cross silkworm varieties, disease-resistant varieties, artificial feed varieties, and colorful cocoon varieties) , explained in detail the silkworm breeding techniques and precautions. Based on the actual needs of sericulture farmers, he provided professional guidance and training on how to select new varieties with high cocoon quality and strong resistance, the prevention and control of major epidemic diseases in sericulture, and how to strengthen feeding and management. The content is detailed, rich and practical, which enhances everyone’s awareness and understanding of the current new technologies in sericulture and injects new vitality into the development of Haining’s traditional industries.
This training clarified the focus of this year’s sericulture industry work, and also made arrangements for the early preparations for spring silkworm production.
