Korla City prepares for harvesting 1.028 million acres of cotton in advance

This year, the cotton planting area in Korla City is 1.028 million acres, with an estimated output of 390,000 tons. Cotton harvesting is expected to start on October 1st, enter the peak period in mid-October, and be fully completed by November 10th.

In order to ensure the smooth completion of the cotton picking work, first, a cotton picking work leading group was established, with four special teams for epidemic prevention and control, picking personnel coordination and support, vehicle transportation support, and processing plant management. The third is to prepare more than 100 cotton picking machines in advance to prepare for cotton harvesting, deploy agricultural technicians to go deep into the fields, provide technical training and guidance to farmers, and pay attention to the cotton picking situation in a timely manner, so as to reduce missed pickings and pickings. If the cotton is not clean, it is strictly forbidden to operate the cotton picker at night, and focus on the quality of cotton harvesting from the source.
