The reporter learned from the annual meeting that in the first three quarters of this year, 290 linen textile enterprises above designated size across the country achieved main operating income of 37.967 billion yuan and total profits of 1.856 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.46% and 8.97%. At the same time, the export of hemp textiles has shown rapid growth. According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters, exports of hemp fiber and textile machinery products (excluding hemp clothing) increased by 21.40%. “The growth rate of exports is higher than the growth of corporate income and profits, which shows that my country’s hemp textile enterprises are still limited to the status of primary products.” Xu Jixiang said.
