In recent years, my country’s large-scale chicken resources have increased rapidly, and chicken feather production is considerable. Poultry feathers contain more than 85% keratin, and are rich in 18 kinds of amino acids and various mineral elements. Currently, relevant scientific researchers from the School of Textiles and Materials of Xi’an Polytechnic University are conducting research on the modification and finishing of polyester fabrics using waste feather protein additives. Through optimizing the production process and special technical treatment, the hygroscopic properties of polyester fabrics have been significantly improved, which indicates that my country’s Research on chicken feather fiber finishing aids has successfully taken the first step.
With the advancement of science and technology, developing chicken feather fiber and applying it to the field of textile and clothing will be a key issue in the field of scientific research.�Future research directions.
