On the afternoon of April 5, in the Zhongshan Huaerjin clothing production workshop, a member of the Xiaolan Town Chamber of Commerce, dozens of workers were busy processing men’s underwear in front of various machines. The boss Wang Huihua was inspecting the production situation in the workshop. On the stage, he randomly picked up a piece of finished underwear and asked the reporter: “Can you feel what is different about these underwear?” The reporter took the piece of clothing and rubbed it with his hands a few times. It felt soft and close-fitting and not easy to wrinkle, but It seems to be nothing special like high-end cotton clothing. Wang Huihua said with a smile: “This is a nano-copper antibacterial fabric developed by me and my friends with an investment of more than 2 million yuan. It is still very rare in the domestic market. The State Intellectual Property Office has sent me a letter to notify me of the official acceptance of this patent technology application. ”
Xiaolan Town was awarded the title of “China’s Famous Underwear Town” in 2007. The town has quite a few well-known underwear brands. The Xiaolan Chamber of Commerce alone has hundreds of underwear industry member companies, but so far it is rare to hear of any. A company is committed to researching and developing innovative fabrics to transform and upgrade. What is unique about this little-known Hualjin Clothing Company?
Wang Huihua told reporters that he is from Hubei. When he came to Guangdong to work in 2006, he worked at the Zhongshan office of Foshan Yibang Spandex, a subsidiary of the American DuPont Company, and was responsible for the promotion and sales of the American DuPont spandex textile raw materials; in 2010, he began to come into contact with the modal yarn of the Austrian Lenzing Company. He thought that this fabric had great market prospects, so he founded a weaving factory to produce Modal fabrics in 2011. In 2015, he established Hualjin Clothing, which entered the field of clothing production from fabric production, mainly producing men’s seamless underwear. However, as overcapacity in the domestic garment industry becomes more and more serious, the underwear industry has also fallen into a downturn, and labor costs continue to rise, causing garment companies to find themselves in trouble.
what to do? Wang Huihua discovered during market research that in the fierce competition among many peer companies, it is impossible to attract orders by innovating product styles, and it is unrealistic to reduce costs by improving production processes. The only thing that can be done is that few people dare to do it. The solution is to innovate fabrics. As a result, Wang Huihua and his partners began to pay attention to new fabric production technologies at home and abroad, and in 2015 they aimed at the application and development of nano-copper fabric technology. He and his partners have invested 2 million yuan to jointly develop new antibacterial fabrics with relevant scientific research institutes. In January 2016, we successfully developed nano-copper white antibacterial fabrics. In September 2016, we successfully solved the multi-color problem of nano-copper antibacterial fabrics.
Does the new fabric have any effect? Wang Huihua quickly sent the fabric samples to the National Wool Textile Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Shanghai) and the Shanghai Wool and Linen Textile Science and Technology Institute testing laboratory for testing. He was overjoyed with the results.
He handed reporters two copies of the test reports, which are fabric function tests jointly issued by the National Wool Textile Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Shanghai) and the Shanghai Wool and Linen Textile Science and Technology Research Institute Testing Laboratory on April 21, 2016. Report, fabric composition inspection report. The results of the fabric composition inspection report show that the fabric sample of the inspected unit Zhongshan Huaerjin Clothing has modal fiber accounting for 55.7%, copper-modified polyester fiber accounting for 38.4%, and spandex accounting for 5.9%. The results of the fabric function test report show that the fabric sample’s antibacterial rate against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli exceeds 99%, and the fabric sample’s antibacterial rate against Candida albicans exceeds 80%.
Wang Huihua told reporters that the nano-copper antibacterial fabric is currently produced by a cooperative enterprise in Huzhou, Zhejiang, and Huaerjin Clothing is responsible for processing the fabric into underwear. “There are many varieties of antibacterial fabrics on the domestic market. According to the national standard “GBT31713-2015 Safety and Hygiene Requirements for Antibacterial Textiles”, only antibacterial fabrics with non-leaching antibacterial material components can meet safety and hygienic requirements and will not harm human skin. However, there are currently very few antibacterial fabrics that have been tested by the state as non-leaching, and nano-copper antibacterial fabrics are one of them. Therefore, the application of this fabric to the underwear industry will have broad prospects and will help accelerate the transformation of Xiaolan’s underwear industry. Upgrade.”
