3. There are several issues to pay attention to when applying PU coating:
1. Tension adjustment: When PU coating, different tensions need to be adjusted according to different cloths. Uneven tension will cause unevenness of the PU coating, with some places being thicker and others not. It is thin, and the feel will be uneven, with some places being hard and some being soft.
2. Adjustment of the coating knife: When PU coating, different coating knives should be adjusted according to different PU coating requirements. One is the thickness of the knife. Different thicknesses should be selected according to different requirements of PU coating. If you choose the wrong knife, you cannot guarantee the quality of the PU coating and cannot achieve the best PU coating effect. The other is to adjust the gap between the knife edges. The gap between the knife edges on both sides of the coating head should be the same, not one side is larger and the other is smaller. Otherwise, the PU coating will be uneven, and some products may even cause color differences on the left and right sides of the cloth, such as white or colored coating.
3. Cleaning of the cloth surface: It is actually the cleaning of the cloth surface during PU coating, because if there are lint or fine sand on the PU coating surface during PU coating, these small things will It will get stuck at the coating edge, causing slivers on the PU coating surface, resulting in defective products. Therefore, before applying the knife, the cloth surface usually needs to be cleaned. The general solution is to install a brush in front of the painting knife, brush the threads and fine sand on the cloth, and at the same time sprinkle some water on the ground to maintain the air humidity so that the dust on the ground will not fly up and reduce the dust. 4. Temperature control of the drying room: PU coatings with different requirements have different curing temperatures. Therefore, the temperature of the PU coating must be controlled. If the temperature is too high, it will feel hard and prone to blistering. If the temperature is too low, it will become sticky, have poor fastness, and easily fall off. Strictly speaking, the temperature of the drying room should be from low to high, usually from low to high for a three-stage drying room. The temperature of the first stage should not be too high. It should be controlled so that the boiling point of the solvent in the glue is slightly higher, so that the solvent in the glue can completely evaporate. If it is too high, the glue will start to solidify before the solvent has evaporated. Then after the second stage The remaining solvent in the drying oven will destroy the surface film, cause bubbling, and also cause the quality of the PU coating to decline. For example, if a PU coating requires water pressure, destroying the PU coating film on the surface will destroy the water pressure. The temperature of the drying room in the third stage should be controlled at the curing temperature of the PU coating glue. If the temperature is low, the PU coating glue will not be completely cured and will become sticky, which will seriously affect the fastness. High temperatures will cause the hand to become hard and brittle. Destroy the physical properties of PU coating glue.
5. Control of vehicle speed of PU coating: Like the temperature above, the temperature and vehicle speed of PU coating must be strictly controlled, which will directly affect the quality of PU coating. Because the curing of PU coating glue depends on two conditions, temperature and time. Although the temperature is controlled well, if the time is not controlled well, it will still affect the quality of the PU coating. Because two conditions are indispensable. Therefore, while controlling the temperature, you must also control the vehicle speed. If the speed is too fast and the curing time is not enough, it will still not be fully cured, which will also cause stickiness and peeling. If the speed is too slow and the time in the drying room is too long, the hand will become hard and brittle. Moreover, the production efficiency is low and energy is wasted.
6. When inspecting and packaging, pay attention to inspecting in strict accordance with customer requirements and marking them well. And stacked separately according to cylinder number. There should be clear signs and no confusion.
