DuPont of the United States officially releases Teflon® down waterproof technology in China

DuPont of the United States officially announced Teflon® down protection technology in China, which makes the down filling in the down jacket less likely to get wet, has long-lasting thermal insulation and is quick-drying, making it more functional from the inside out. As the creator of nylon and elastic fibers, DuPont of the United States hopes that this technology can bring new inspiration to the fabric and workwear industries.

Teflon® down protection technology is a process technology that uses nano-scale molecular technology to post-finish down fibers. Down treated with Teflon® down protection technology forms a barrier around each down fiber, making the down less susceptible to moisture, keeping down products dry and loose, increasing warmth, drying quickly and reducing odor. At the same time, it is more possible to machine wash down jackets, and the down can avoid clumping after washing, reducing complicated care procedures.

2012 Autumn and Winter “Feather·ZEN” product launch conference

In order to cooperate with the promotion of Teflon® down protection technology in the Chinese market, DuPont joined hands with Mr. Wu Xuekai, a famous Chinese workwear designer, at the “Feather·ZEN” product launch conference to launch the Teflon® down protection technology 2012 autumn and winter series. Down treated with Teflon® down protection technology presented the lightness and looseness of down jackets through the “Floating” series and “Water Drop” series at the press conference, which underlined everyone’s inherent perception of down jackets as cumbersome and complicated.
