Waterproof and oil-proof performance test method
Water and oil repellent performance test method
1. Water repellency level test
1.1 Water repellency test according to 3 M-Ⅱ-1988 method to proceed.
Mix isopropyl alcohol and water in different proportions as shown in the table to prepare a standard test solution system. Starting from the low-level reagent, put a drop of liquid on the surface of the sample cloth to be tested. If it does not wet within 10 seconds, it is considered a pass, and it will not pass until it fails. The passing level is the product’s water repellency level.

1.2 Water spray performance test
To test the water repellency level of fabrics, the water spray performance test method is generally used, and most of them refer to the AATCC22-1977 experimental method. Cut out a sample of 18×18 (cm2), tighten it on the sample holder (metal bending ring), and place it at 45o. Make the warp direction of the fabric follow the direction of water droplets flowing down the cloth surface, and the center of the experimental surface is 150 mm below the center of the nozzle surface. Pour 250 ml of cold water quickly into the glass funnel as shown in the picture, and let the water sprinkle on the surface of the fabric in about 25-30 seconds. After spraying, pick up the holder and make the fabric face down and level.style=”width: 25.18%;”>
