How can the textile industry generate new power during the transformation period of deep adjustment?
2017 is an important year for the implementation of the “13th Five-Year Plan” , is also a key year to promote the construction of a strong fabric country. The IMF and WTO predict that the economy will grow by 3.4% and 2.5% respectively in 2017, both higher than the growth rate in 2016. The continued improvement of the economy will become an important background for the progress of the industry. Domestic supply-side structural reform is advancing in depth, and the macro economy is stable and improving, which will also become an important support for the development of the industry.
Looking back on 2016, the fabric industry has achieved a lot in the first year of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”, but it is also under pressure from both internal and external parties. In the transformation period of deep adjustment, how can the industry summarize the achievements of the past year and find new driving forces for growth and new directions of development in 2017? In order to explore the answers to these questions, reporters recently interviewed the China Fabric Industry Federation. Changsun Ruizhe conducted an exclusive interview.
Industry changes present four new characteristics
Reporter: Looking back on 2016, what new changes and new characteristics did the progress of my country’s fabric industry show?
Sun Ruizhe: Looking back on the past 2016, the stage, political events and economic fluctuations have stirred up each other, and the storms have arisen one after another; in the domestic market, policy adjustments and demand upgrades have shadowed each other, and there have been numerous changes; within the industry, technological innovation and model innovation, integrating and evolving collaboratively. In this era of uncertainty, the industry is undergoing profound changes. These new changes and new characteristics of the industry can be summarized in four words: “stability, change, integration and innovation”.
“Stability” is the foundation. In a new historical direction of growing from big to strong, the major change in the industry is that it has entered a new normal with “stability” as an important feature. Under the new normal, relying on size advantages and system advantages, the economic indicators of the industry tend to be flat, showing an L-shaped trend. Stability is the overall situation and the main tone. The steady progress of the industry has left room for transformation and upgrading, and also created conditions.
“Change” is the norm. A new round of scientific and technological revolution, industrial transformation, and wide-scale political and economic adjustments are intertwined with each other, profoundly adjusting the industrial division of labor, reshaping the competitive landscape, and changing the balance of power. In a rapidly changing, deeply interconnected and uncertain environment, the butterfly effect in the industry is increasingly strengthening, and “black swan” events have become the norm.
“Integration” is the trend. Online and offline integration; manufacturing and service integration; technology and fashion integration. Integration is becoming an important source of industry competitive advantage. Taking the market, capital, network, and culture as links, and using multinational companies, industrial clusters, and network platforms as carriers, building a specialized, regionalized, and distributed production system to achieve optimal allocation of resources and efficient industrial organization is an important feature of current industrial progress. .
“Creation” is the driving force. Under the new situation, innovation has become an important driving force for industry transformation and upgrading. Technological innovation represented by material technology, intelligent technology, green technology, etc. is bringing new opportunities for development to the industry; model innovation represented by scene economy, entertainment economy, and sharing economy is injecting new impetus for development into the industry. Currently, industry innovation presents four major trends: people-oriented, data-driven, responsibility-oriented, and collaborative sharing.
The industry will continue to develop in an L-shaped manner
Reporter: What achievements have been made in the progress of the fabric industry in 2016 and what are the main current problems?
Sun Ruizhe: Overall, in 2016, the industry maintained a momentum of slowing down, stabilizing, and progressing, and continued to show an L-shaped development trend. The profitability of the industry is stable and it is still an important force supporting the entire national economy. From January to November, the industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in the fabric industry increased by 5.2% year-on-year, which was 1.2 percentage points lower than the growth rate in the same period last year and 0.4 percentage points lower than the growth rate in the third quarter.
From January to November, fabric enterprises above designated size achieved main business income of 6.600511 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.23%, and the growth rate slowed down 0.8 percentage points from the same period last year; the total profit was 345.473 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.23%. An increase of 4.8%, the growth rate slowed down by 2 percentage points compared with the same period last year. Among the main categories of products, the growth rate of yarn output has accelerated. From January to November, the output of enterprises above designated size increased by 6.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate accelerated by 1.4 percentage points compared with the same period last year. The growth rate of chemical fiber and cloth production has slowed down, 1~The fabric industry in the central and western regions has progressed, and a modern manufacturing system and a characteristic industrial system for the fabric industry have been established and improved. Strengthen guidance and promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial clusters. Make good use of both markets and resources to improve the development level of the industry.
The fifth is to enhance corporate strength. Focusing on improving quality and core competitiveness, we vigorously implement the “three-product strategy”. Optimize the product supply structure, develop service-oriented manufacturing, improve the industry standard system, and enhance quality assurance capabilities. Guide enterprises to form their own advantages, carry forward the “craftsman spirit”, strengthen brand building, and cultivate more “century-old stores”. Accelerate the technological transformation of enterprises, strengthen innovation in corporate governance, and promote the coordinated development of large, medium and small enterprises.
Overall, the fundamentals of China’s fabric industry in 2017 will present three “unchanged” aspects:
The general trend will not change. Strong production capacity, huge market space, and complete industrial system provide ballast for the transformation and upgrading of the industry; the increasingly open external structure, the continuously enriched network ecology, and the rapidly iterative business model have added new opportunities to the progress of the industry. vitality. In 2017, the general trend of steady progress in the industry will not change.
The general situation will not change. Economic progress is increasingly uncertain and uncontrollable factors are increasing. The development of the industry is also facing a new situation in which new and old development drivers alternate, virtual and real development spaces are intertwined, and the development environment is a mixture of risks and risks. The long-standing supply-side and structural problems in the industry have become increasingly prominent and still need to be resolved. In 2017, the general trend of tortuous development of the industry will not change.
The general tone will not change. A new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation are forming a historic intersection with the construction of a strong country in China’s fabric industry. Industry technological innovation and model innovation blend with each other and evolve collaboratively, constantly enriching the industry’s value manufacturing model and providing opportunities and possibilities for leapfrog progress. In 2017, the industry’s overall tone of pioneering and innovation will not change.
At present, the industry is on the grand journey of building a strong fabric country. We hope that all workers in the fabric industry can stand firm and not forget their roots; broaden their horizons and face the future; work steadily, seek innovation and progress; Clarify the new direction of development and create a new era for the industry!
