Agricultural mechanization “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” promotes the development of cotton mechanization
Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture issued The “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for the Progress of National Agricultural Mechanization” pointed out that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, my country’s agricultural mechanization progress has achieved remarkable results, and cotton mechanization has made substantial progress, but progress in key production links has been slow. By 2020, a full-process mechanized cotton production model will be basically formed, and the cotton picking mechanization rate will increase from 18.8% in 2015 to more than 30%.
In accordance with the requirements of adapting measures to local conditions, highlighting key points, being economical and effective, saving resources, caring for the environment, ensuring safety, and closely integrating the adjustment of agricultural industry structure to promote regional balanced and coordinated progress of agricultural mechanization, the document pointed out that in the Loess Plateau, and the six provinces (autonomous regions) of Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang in the northwest region, focusing on accelerating the full mechanization of the production of corn, potatoes, cotton and other crops, and further improving the level of facility agriculture production. Develop high-power, high-performance agricultural machinery, increase the promotion and application of drought-resistant and water-saving machinery and equipment, and expand the agricultural aviation operation area; explore cotton machinery in the five provinces (cities) of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, and Henan in the North China Plain Harvest effective ways.
