80,000 acres of cotton sowing started in an orderly manner in Zepu County

On April 5, accompanied by the rumble of the machine, a precision seeder equipped with the Beidou navigation automatic driving system was sowing seeds in the cotton field of Yulegun Village, Yukurikara, Gulebag Township. Cotton, as the seeder passes by, is sown, laid with drip irrigation tape, covered with film, and drilled in one go. “In the past few years, small machinery was used for planting. The sowing time was long, the efficiency was low, and it was particularly time-consuming and laborious. At the same time, I have also used technologies such as drone plant protection and mechanized cotton picking. The scientific and technological content has become higher and higher, the costs have been reduced, and the efficiency has been greatly improved.” said Yue Tao, a farmer.

In recent years, Zepu County has vigorously promoted the development model of “high-standard farmland + mechanized sowing + farmers”, closely focusing on the policy of “optimal structure, refined cotton, promoting industry, and increasing efficiency”, using mechanized precision sowing and Under-film drip irrigation technology.
