In the morning, the “Yanbian County 2023 Small Silkworm Co-breeding Management and Silkworm Disease Prevention and Control Training Seminar” was held at the Yumen Town Government of Yanbian County. More than 150 people from the County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, China Silk Tiancheng (Panzhihua)Silk Co., Ltd., and sericulture farmers attended the training session. Researcher Liu Junfeng and Associate Researcher Li Wenxue conducted trainings on the topics of “Key Technologies for Breeding Small Silkworms” and “Key Technologies for Prevention and Control of Silkworm Diseases” respectively. In the afternoon, the expert group inspected the construction of the mulberry edible fungus factory of the Jifang Village Joint Stock Economic Cooperative of Guosheng Township, Yanbian County, and the mulberry garden management and early stage of sericulture at the Sericulture Demonstration Park of China Silk Tiancheng (Panzhihua) Silk Co., Ltd. The progress of the preparation work was carried out, and targeted improvement measures were proposed for the current construction of the co-incubation room, management of the mulberry garden and early disinfection.
This training not only promoted the demonstration and application of new technologies and new models, but also provided guarantee for the increase of sericulture and income of farmers in Yanbian County.
